Audi Australia has recorded an all-time sales high for the month of January 2006, up 40% on its January 2005 sales result.

With 461 units sold in January 2006, the German luxury carmaker is already demonstrating its target of another year of ‘double digit’ growth is within reach.

Managing director, Joerg Hofmann, says the result is the second-highest sales month for the brand in its Australian history, and the best January on record.

“Our Fast Start strategy for 2006 is clearly paying off,” said Mr Hofmann.

“We started 2006 with a strong marketing campaign, known as Audi Open Haus, and customers have responded well to the brand’s initiative".

“With more Audi vehicles on the road, we are already finding that new customers are walking through the doors of our showrooms, with Audi firmly on their luxury car shopping list,” he added.

Audi will also make a splash in the Victorian market this month with a high-profile line-up at this year’s Melbourne International Motor Show from 9th – 19th February 2006.

The company will display three hero cars – the new Audi Q7 SUV, the new RS 4 supercar and the new S8 sports limousine with exclusive Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System.
