Since being launched in the U.S., Chrysler’s 300C has collected many awards, however the most recent, is surely the most bizarre.

The 300C has been voted the ‘Most Washable Car 2005’ by the International Car Wash Association (ICWA). The accolade acknowledges what the vehicle car wash operators consider the most “wash-friendly” car of the year.

“Some people would say they have an award for everything. And the Chrysler 300C has managed to collect just about all of them,“ said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Jeep Australia.

“Since arriving on the scene in the U.S. this stunning vehicle has been a huge success not only within industry award circles but also customers with monthly sales volumes regularly in excess of 12,000 units.

“When it arrives in Australia later this year, this stunning vehicle will provide a genuine and unique alternative to Holden and Ford’s V6 and V8 large sedans and many of the European offerings for that matter,’’ said Jenkins.

ICWA says the award is a critical distinction in the car care industry as research shows that nearly $24 billion a year is spent battling auto corrosion damage.

Dirty cars are more prone to rust because dirt traps moisture, which leads to rusted metal.
