Last month also saw Honda post its best ever July year to date result of 21,662 units.

Leading the way for Honda in July was the Accord with 1,096 units, followed by CR-V with 818 and Jazz with 668. The evergreen Civic also contributed with 457 units.

The just-launched Odyssey also notched up 410 units in its first full month on sale and the environmentally-friendly Civic hybrid repeated its June success with 23 units sold.

Honda Australia Director Lindsay Smalley said he was pleased with the results.

“This is a strong start to the second half of the year. Our staff and dealers are to be congratulated on their hard work,” he said.

“This is our best result ever – breaking the all-time record we set last month. It’s great to see our traditional models such as CR-V and Civic performing so strongly along side the new models such as Accord and Odyssey.”
