Honda MDX

13th December, 2004

Honda has added greater value to the MDX, with more equipment and revised styling for 2005.

The MDX gains SRS curtain airbags (all three rows) among a range of enhancements including full size alloy spare wheel, automatic headlights (auto on & off), security alarm, rain sensor wipers and ambient interior light.

Honda has sharpened the MDX with redesigned bumpers, integrated twin exhaust with square finishers and chrome grille. Inside, the dash has illuminated meters.

The MDX’s 3.5-litre, 24-valve, SOHC VTEC LEV V6 engine, has received a 4kW increase – boosting output to 195kW at 5800rpm.

The '05 MDX, which goes on sale immediately, is also available with three new exterior colours – Desert Rock Metallic, Billet Silver Metallic and Steel Blue Metallic – and new ivory interior colour with Nighthawk Black and Desert Rock paint.

All of this is added to the MDX’s extensive equipment list, including 5-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic, Vehicle Stabilty Assist (VSA), VTM-4 4WD system, ABS brakes with EBD, driver & passenger i-SRS airbags, driver & front passenger side airbags, DVD system with 7” TFT screen, leather interior and premium 6CD audio system.

The MDX’s pricing remains unchanged at $69,990.
