Jaguar Signs Company's Biggest Fleet Deal In The Middle East

4th October, 2006

Jaguar sells 100 XJ6 lwb models to The Transport Company

Jaguar has announced the company's biggest single fleet deal in the Middle East with The Transport Company in Qatar to provide 100 XJ LWB models. The flagship XJ models will be used for the transportation needs of VIP business customers. The vehicles will be the ultra-luxurious V6 long wheelbase.

The XJ is Jaguar's flagship model and is the epitome of style, luxury, comfort and craftsmanship that is synonymous with Jaguar. Apart from being the longest wheelbase in its class, it is also the lightest with an aluminium body structure that makes the car 40% lighter and 60% stiffer than it would be had conventional steel been used. The benefits of this technology include improved performance, fuel economy, safety, vehicle dynamics and lower emissions.

"The XJ exemplifies the luxury sedan experience. The vehicle has been designed keeping in mind senior executives who not only enjoy a great driving experience from its powerful engines and strong design, but also those who enjoy being in the rear seat. The deal with The Transport Company will give more people the opportunity to enjoy the luxury and performance benefits of our flagship model," said Kevin J. Mellor, Regional Sales Manager, Jaguar Middle East and North Africa.

The luxurious interior offers spaciousness, ergonomic flexibility and seat comfort, together with entertainment, climate control and communications systems that reflect the needs of today's discerning business customers. These include voice-activated four-zone climate control with individual rear passenger settings and a multi-media system with iPod, MP3 player and DVD connectivity.
