Another Record for Mazda

Mazda Australia retailed 4856 vehicles last month - its best May result ever - keeping intact its string of benchmark monthly sales performances this year.

The May total was up 9.6 per cent on the same month last year and takes the company’s year-to-date sales to 23,270 vehicles or 12.3 per cent more than last year.

The class-leading Mazda 3 had another strong month selling 2040, while the Mazda 2 had its second best month ever with 421 sales. Tribute with 558 sold strongly posting its best performance since August last year and the E Series van with 149 sales had its strongest month for more than two years.

Mazda Australia’s new managing director, Doug Dickson, said: “Our May performance is very satisfying particularly as the Mazda 2, Tribute and E Series all contributed significantly to the record.

“We are confident that our brand momentum will deliver another record in June”.

Doug Dickson, formerly national sales manager, officially becomes managing director of Mazda Australia on 15th June.
