Mazda 3 Maxx sedan
3,099 Mazda 3s were sold
in Australia during June 2005.

4th July, 2005

Mazda Australia achieved another sensational sales result toping over 6000 retails for the second month this year.

Last month Mazda retailed 6,038 vehicles, continuing the company’s record sales run this year, which has seen benchmarks established every month since January.

Prior to this year, the previous best result occurred in June 2004 when the company retailed 5,543, since then they have beaten this figure four times in January, February, March and now June.

The June result was 495 more than the company’s previous June record in 2004.

The company’s best sellers Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 both had stellar performances, each achieving their best sales on record. Mazda 3 sold 3,099 units while the runout Mazda 6 also sold 1,485 units.

Bravo also had a spectacular month selling the most units since June 2001.

Mazda’s June total was 8.9 per cent up on this time last year, a particularly impressive figure given the company’s record breaking year last year.

Last month’s result is in keeping with the company’s expectations that sales would steadily increase resulting in another record selling year.

Mazda Australia’s managing director, Doug Dickson, said: “This month brings us one step closer to achieving the 63,500 sales target that we have set ourselves. So far this year we have achieved record breaking sales in every month, we aim to continue this trend for the remainder of the year.”
