Second Batch of Evo VIIIs
Arrive in Australia

2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII

9th March, 2005

The second batch of 100 Lancer Evolution VIIIs to be imported by Mitsubishi Motors under SEVS (Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme) has just arrived in Australia.

The initial batch of 100 cars was quickly snapped up by car enthusiasts, and no wonder when the car has been lauded by everyone that has driven it.

The second batch of Evo VIIIs is exactly the same specification as the first, as are the colours and pricing. Demand for this batch is also very strong with Mitsubishi’s Ralliart dealer network holding orders for most cars.

Lancer Evolution VIII is powered by the legendary 4G63 2.0 litre DOHC intercooled turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 195kW at 6000 rpm and 355Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. Drive is put to the ground through a full-time all-wheel drive system that features Mitsubishi’s acclaimed Active Yaw Control and electronically controlled Active Centre Differential. The drive-train provides the car with fantastic grip in all road conditions.

The colour palette remains the same – white, silver, blue, red, yellow and black – and the car comes with fabric covered Recaros as standard, although leather is an optional extra. A sophisticated tracking and alarm system and Data Dot security identification system is also standard on these cars.

Pricing is unchanged at $61,990, with leather trim an additional $3,000.
