Supercharged MG ZT 360 on show at
2005 Adelaide Motor Show

Sprintex will show a supercharged MG sedan at the 2005 Adelaide Motor Show. The MG ZT 360 is a Supercharged V8 developed by Sprintex Superchargers for sale in the Australian market.

The production ready prototype produces 270Kw (360 bhp) from its Supercharged 4.6 litre V8.

The V8 MG was a perfect candidate for supercharging based on the excellent chassis and handling characteristics of the standard MG ZT 260.

Sprintex’s general manager Jay Upton said the MG ZT V8 Supercharged prototype was undertaken as a solo project to demonstrate Sprintex's capabilities but also as a viable commercial exercise. The MG along with the Mitsubishi Magna and the V-Rod which will all be available for sale to the public in April. The company has already received numerous orders.

All three platforms produced by Sprintex Superchargers has allowed the company to further showcase its expertise in the performance supercharger segment.” he said

“Supercharging has lifted the power from the standard MG ZT V8’s 260 bhp to 360 bhp, and provided another dimension to its performance capabilities".

“The Sprintex twin screw supercharger installation looks OEM factory-installed and is concealed under the carbon fibre engine cover.

Sprintex Superchargers is part of the Australian Automotive Components group of companies that also includes Vee Two Australia Pty Ltd.

The 2005 Adelaide Motor Show is held from Wednesday 30th March 2005 to Sunday 3rd April 2005 at Royal Adelaide Showground.
