Subaru Achieves It's Best-Ever April Sales

Subaru achieved record April sales of 2,764 units,
according to official VFACTS sales figures released today.

The figure puts Subaru sales 18.5 per cent ahead of the same time last year and represents an April market share of 3.9 per cent, which is an all-time record for the brand.

Subaru's year-to-date total of 11,165 units is 1,744 ahead of the same period last year.

Sales were again consistently strong across the range.

Forester retailed 877 units, to capture 15.4 per cent of the SUV Compact market in April.

Impreza retailed 780 units, its best ever April total, taking 5.9 per cent of the small car market.

Outback's 553 was also a record for the month and 213 units ahead of the previous April. Combined with Forester sales, it again gave Subaru dominance of the SUV Compact market, with a 25.1 per cent share.

Liberty sold 554 units, 133 ahead of last April.

Nick Senior, General Manager, Subaru Australia, said: "Significant Subaru sales growth this year reflects broad interest in our entire range of Forester, Impreza, Liberty and Outback.

"We're delighted that there is strong interest in all models, consistent with Subaru's image as a premium Japanese brand.

"Most noticeable is that the additional volume is coming from our high-end models - the Liberty GT, the Outback 3.0R and the Forester XT."
