Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) has launched the next chapter in its all new model line up with the launch of the new Escudo in to its domestic market of Japan.

Initially available with a 2.0 L engine the new Escudo has been developed as a result of the increasing popularity of the SUV. A 2.7L variant will also become available in June of this year.

This vehicle will form the basis of the all new Grand Vitara due for release in the Australian market in late 2005.

With specification details yet to be confirmed on the new Grand Vitara, Suzuki Australia will release further information as it becomes available at a later date.

The new Grand Vitara will be the third new Suzuki product released in Australia this year, following the successful launch of the Swift, and the release of the new APV in the coming weeks.
