Walkinshaw Power To The People

The company that puts the power into Australia’s leading Holden V8 Supercar
teams is now doing the same for Holden drivers in an expansion into the
aftermarket industry. Walkinshaw Performance Pty Ltd, which supplies engines and other technical
support to the multi-championship winning Holden Racing Team and Toll HSV
Dealer Team, has launched a range of go-fast products for the new VE
Commodore and Astra from a new operation in Melbourne. Walkinshaw Performance has set up shop in a Braeside facility in Melbourne
adjoining the legendary Elfin Sports Cars, which was acquired by the
Walkinshaw Group in December. There, Holden enthusiasts can find enhancements such as a supercharger kit
for Holden Special Vehicle’s LS2 V8, along with a throaty TOMCAT Exhaust,
lowered suspension kit, six-piston brake upgrade and a range of new tuning
products to suit the Astra Turbo and HSV VXR. The HSV supercharger package takes the 6.0L V8 power output from 307 kW
to approximately 380 kW. Walkinshaw Performance CEO Chris Payne said “these products are just the
first in a comprehensive and expanding range of aftermarket enhancements
for Holden and HSV vehicles. Some enthusiasts just can’t get enough
performance, even from an HSV E-Series. That’s where we come in.” | |||||
