Citroen C5, C6 and Dispatch recall

Home > News > Citroen

29th July, 2011

Citroen is recalling 65 cars across 3 model lines.

The C5 and C6 models fitted with the 3 litre V6 are involved. The recall concerns 52 cars.

On some vehicles fitted with a V6 3L HDi 240hp FAP engine, during harsh and prolonged braking, there is a risk of incorrect interpretation of engine oil level information. The defect could cause stalling and loss of control.

In addition, 13 Dispatch models are being recalled for a different problem. The operation of the power steering may be affected, causing loss of control. There is a possibility of contact between the electric harness and its surroundings if the protective sleeve is damaged.

The Citroen importers will contact owners (where possible). Otherwise owners should contact a Citroen dealer for relevant advice and corrective attention.
