Ford SYNC™ debuts on Fiesta and is now available across the Fiesta range offering hands-free, voice-activated in-car connectivity with mobile phones and media players including Bluetooth®‡ hands-free and Bluetooth®‡ music streaming. Other new standard features available on Ambiente and across the Fiesta range include Cruise Control with steering wheel mounted controls on the 3-spoke leather-wrapped wheel. Front and rear power windows, manual air conditioning, 6-speaker audio system and trip computer join the list of standard features.

New to Fiesta is EcoMode, which is a software application that measures the driver’s gear shifting where applicable, anticipation (driving as constant as possible) and speed. Those with fuel-efficient driving skills are rewarded with in-car kudos in the form of leaf icons displayed on the instrument cluster.

Safety comes standard on new Fiesta with high strength and ultra-high strength steels in the body structure to ensure rigidity and strength. Seven airbags including driver’s knee bag, ABS with BA and DSC feature on all models.

Hill Launch Assist (HLA) is new to the Fiesta range making it easier to pull away when the vehicle is on a slope without the need to use the parking brake. When a manual-transmission equipped new Fiesta is on a gradient greater than 4%, the vehicle will remain stationary for a short time after the driver releases the brake pedal. During this time, the driver has time to move their foot to the accelerator and pull away. The brakes are then released automatically.
