Honda Civic Type R recall

27th November, 2011

Ninety two Honda Civic Type R hatchbacks are subject to a recall.

Apparently, the wire harness was not routed in the correct location and, as such, the wire harness sheath may be damaged and in the worst case scenario cause a short circuit, potentially causing the right headlight, front fog light, position light or brake light not to operate or the horn to fail to sound.

Honda Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles (where possible). Otherwise owners should contact their authorised dealership for inspection and for the wire harness to be repaired or replaced.
