6th April, 2012

The Hyundai i30 sales have reached 98,500 across Australia since its launch in October 2007. A new model is scheduled to arrive locally in mid-2012.

In the meantime, Hyundai will offer a 2012 i30 Trophy hatch, following the sale of more than 3,700 units of the original version after first being introduced in 2010. The Hyundai i30 Trophy will again offer an exclusive and attractive package.

The 2012 five-door i30 Trophy is based on the 2.0-litre petrol-fuelled i30 SX hatch offering exterior and interior enhancements.

On the outside, titanium-grey finish 16” alloy wheels (including matching full-size spare wheel), are complimented by a rear spoiler and ‘Trophy’ badging. At the front, fog lamps recessed into the lower front bumper match i30’s headlamp clusters.

Meanwhile, inside, drivers benefit from the addition of cruise control making open road, highway and distance driving a breeze. The gearlever knob and steering wheel are leather finished – the latter including controls for audio and cruise control.

Achieving a 5-star ANCAP rating, the i30 Trophy provides both driver and passengers confidence on the road by offering safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-skid Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO), six airbags and 'anti-whiplash' front head restraints.

The Hyundai i30 Trophy special edition offers a comprehensive list of standard features including air-conditioning with pollen filter, remote keyless entry with alarm, power windows and mirrors; full AUX, USB and fully integrated iPod® connectivity, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming as well a chilled glove box, flexible space efficient seating and ample in-cabin stowage areas. Coupled with a low cost of ownership and operation, including a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, the Hyundai i30 ‘Trophy’ represents value for money.

The colour palette for the special edition i30 Trophy is limited to four contemporary hues: Ceramic White, Tropic Red, Santorini Blue and Hyper Silver.
