70th Anniversary models for Jeep

Jeep – one of the world’s automotive icons – is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2011. To mark the occasion, the Jeep brand has released distinctive, unique 70th Anniversary Edition models of each vehicle in its line-up.

“The Jeep brand’s legendary heritage and capability have made it a genuine automotive icon that is well-known and loved throughout the world,” said Dean Bonthorne, Senior Manager – Marketing & Corporate Communications for Chrysler Australia. “Since they were first produced in 1941, Jeep vehicles have been the authentic benchmark for off-road capability, having mastered more terrain, led more adventures and provided drivers more freedom than any other vehicle before or since.”

“As part our celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Jeep brand, we are offering Australian customers a range of premium special-edition models across the entire range with unique enhancements” Bonthorne added.

Available in strictly limited numbers, the Jeep 70th Anniversary Edition models have arrived in Australian showrooms in a choice of Silver and Black colour schemes.

2011 Jeep Patriot 70th Anniversary Edition

Available on Patriot Limited 2.4L manual and automatic. Priced from $40,000 drive-away, features include:

  • Unique 18-inch Mopar aluminium wheel
  • Power sunroof
  • Mopar stainless steel mesh grille
  • 70th Anniversary badges
  • Premium leather seats with embossed with logo and Chestnut accent stitching and piping
  • Berber floor mats and cargo area with Chestnut binding
  • Unique dark green cluster overlay
  • Leather wrapped steering wheel with Chestnut stitching
  • Unique cluster overlay and needles
  • 70th Anniversary logo on radio screen

2011 Jeep Cherokee 70th Anniversary Edition

Available on the Cherokee Limited 3.7L V6 model. Priced from $44,000 drive-away, features include:

  • Unique 18-inch Mopar wheel with polished face and painted pockets
  • Power sunroof
  • Mopar stainless steel mesh grille inserts
  • 70th Anniversary badges
  • Premium leather seats with embossed with logo and Chestnut accent stitching and piping
  • Door armrest and centre console in leather with Chestnut accent
  • Leather wrapped steering wheel with Chestnut stitching
  • New interior satin chrome accents and bezels in anodised Silver and Black Lacewood finish

2011 Jeep Wrangler 70th Anniversary Edition

Available on Wrangler Renegade and Wrangler Unlimited Renegade 3.8L V6 models. Priced from $39,000 drive-away, features include:

  • Premium black leather seats with embroidered 70th Anniversary logo
  • Renegade pack featuring 3-piece hard top, soft top, sidesteps and premium audio with subwoofer

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th Anniversary Edition

Available on Grand Cherokee Limited 3.6L Pentastar V6, 5.7L HEMI V8 and the recently released 3.0L CRD turbo diesel. Priced from $63,500 drive-away, features include:

  • Unique, polished 20-inch aluminium wheels
  • Dual-pane panoramic sunroof
  • Mopar stainless steel mesh grille
