The all-new Jeep Cherokee line-up has been further strengthened by the arrival of the new Limited Diesel, with its
2.0-litre turbodiesel engine and nine-speed automatic transmission offering excellent fuel economy without compromising on
power.
The Limited Diesel completes the Cherokee line-up, which is also offered in Sport guise, with its 2.4-litre petrol
engine, and the Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk trim levels – all offered with Jeep’s 3.2-litre Pentastar V6.
Jeep’s 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine delivers 125kW and 350Nm and is equipped with Stop/Start technology.
The new Jeep Cherokee Limited Diesel also features one of Jeep’s most advanced off-road systems, Active Drive II,
which features a two-speed power transfer unit with torque management and low range unique to the diesel powertrain.
The Limited Diesel also features 18-inch aluminium wheels, leather upholstery with heated front seats, Uconnect
8.4-inch touchscreen with navigation, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera and an Alpine nine-speaker
surround sound system all as standard.
Standard safety features include seven airbags (front seats multi-stage air bags, side bags, window bags, driver side
knee air bag), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with ERM (rollover mitigation) and ABS (anti-lock brake system) with
both on-road and off-road calibration.
To ensure maximum protection, additional safety feature options for the new Jeep Cherokee include new systems such as
the innovative Forward Collision Warning-Plus, ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise
Control-Plus, Lane Departure Warning-Plus, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection.
Maximising safety and security with the development of the new Cherokee allowed the mid-size SUV to earn an ANCAP
five-star rating. The new Cherokee also earned the ‘best in class’ designation from Euro NCAP in the Small Off-road 4X4
category for the year 2013.
