A new special edition Jeep Wrangler has been released that includes a range of unique features and styling elements
inspired by the severe climactic conditions of Antarctica.
The Antarctic region, with its hostile routes and severe climate, offers the driving conditions the Jeep Wrangler was
designed to conquer.
Wrangler Polar is based on the capable and luxuriously appointed Overland model and is available in both two and four
door Unlimited variants.
All Polar models are fitted exclusively with the award-winning 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine and five-speed automatic
transmission for efficient operation on and off road.
Exterior upgrades to Overland that are unique to the Polar model include:
- Exclusive body colour offering, Hydro (blue); also available in Billet Silver and Bright White
- Body colour grille with black accents
- Special edition Polar badge, located on the side of the vehicle next to the front mudguard flares, which exhibits the
78° S and 106° E coordinates that correspond to the location of Vostok in Antarctica: the exact point where the absolute
severest temperature in the world was recorded at -89.2° C
- Mopar Power Dome bonnet
- Unique 18-inch polished alloy wheels with gloss black accents
- Gloss black front and rear bumper appliqués
- Mopar black fuel flap
Interior upgrades in addition to the Overland include:
- Polar logo embroidered seatbacks (Overland Wrangler models come standard with heated, leather-trimmed seats)
- Ceramic accent grab handle with Polar logo detail
- Pearl accent stitching on front seats and front door armrests
- Accent colour finish on front and rear door grab handles and vent rings
Wrangler Polar is backed by the superior off-road abilities of the Overland model, allowing customers to tackle any
conditions with confidence.

It has 223mm of ground clearance, 35-degree approach angle, 22-degree breakover angle and 28-degree departure angle in
addition to the Command-Trac system, which delivers equal power to all four corners for optimal traction.
It can also be specified with an electronic locker for the Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential for tackling the
most extreme trails and conditions.
Bridgestone Dueler BSW 255/70R18 all-terrain tyres further enhance its off road potential.
Other convenience features standard on Overland complement Wrangler Polar’s driving experience, including Uconnect
multimedia system with full-feature navigation, seven-speaker Alpine audio system, auto temperature control
air-conditioning, tyre pressure monitoring display, reversing camera, and body colour mudguard flares and roof.
Fiat Chrysler Group President and CEO Veronica Johns said Wrangler Polar would allow Australian buyers to stand out
from the crowd in all conditions.
“The special edition Polar Wrangler provides the opportunity for customers to make a statement with the genuine
off-road ability that only a Wrangler can deliver,” Ms Johns said.
