7th September, 2012

Kia Motors Australia has launched an industry-leading capped-price service programme which includes free 24-hour roadside assist across the model range.

The new Kia Connect programme is the only one in Australia which offers the capped-price service across a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty with annual service intervals. Kia’s annual service schedule is also a major factor ensuring low cost of ownership when compared to many other makes with 6 monthly service schedules.

In addition there is, on new sales from 1st August 2012, a complimentary service at three months or 3,000 kms for a vehicle operational check and to start the relationship with the dealer service department.

“Kia Connect is a genuine value-add programme for our growing number of customers, adding just one more logical reason why Kia should be a front-of-mind consideration for any new car purchase,” KMAu Chief Operating Officer, Tony Barlow, said.

“A capped-price service programme, particularly where a service is an annual event, is an excellent tool for owners to have clarity and consistency of pricing when budgeting for keeping their new purchase in peak condition.”

Mr Barlow said the genesis of the Kia Connect programme was to treat customers with the professionalism and respect that buyers of any new car deserve.

“This is about building a lifetime relationship with our customers, anticipating and providing for their needs while supporting their decision to join the Kia family,” Mr Barlow said.

“We also wanted to show our customers who had recently purchased a current model Kia that they are part of the family and just as highly valued. To that end the Kia Connect programme will apply to all Kia vehicles still under the original manufacturer warranty.”

In addition to the pricing clarity of a five-year capped-price programme, Kia Connect will also bring the peace of mind of a 24/7 roadside assist programme at no cost to the customer.

The first year’s roadside assist will be automatic at the purchase of the vehicle and will be renewed at no cost with each annual service by a registered Kia service provider.

The Kia Connect programme will see annual service charges for all models clearly defined by engine type and year of service.

A Rio 1.4-litre 12-month service is $239, peaking at $458 for a major 4-year service while a diesel Grand Carnival first year service is $338 and peaks at $510 for the year four service.
