Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced pricing and specifications for the CLA Shooting Brake range which is due for local release in June 2015.

With four new variants for the Australian market, the CLA Shooting Brake combines innovative design with dynamic driving capabilities, to leave a lasting impression. Prices will commence at $52,400*.

“The new CLA Shooting Brake represents another outstanding offering for our highly successful compact car range” said Horst von Sanden, CEO and Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia/Pacific. “Since its introduction, the CLA-Class has redefined aerodynamic efficiency while offering extremely progressive and unmistakable design. Now in Shooting Brake guise, the CLA again showcases beautiful design, and fuses it with superb practicality and cutting-edge technologies.”

The CLA 200 produces a maximum output of 115kW and 250Nm of torque from the 1.6L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, while producing a fuel consumption rating of 5.7L/100km (combined).

The fuel economy leader of the CLA Shooting Brake range is the CLA 200 CDI, with a combined cycle fuel consumption rating of just 4.3 L per 100 km. The 2.1L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine produces a maximum output of 100kW and 300Nm of torque.

The sporty CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC Shooting Brake delivers 155kW and up to 350Nm of torque. As per the equivalent 4-door variant, its appearance is characterised by AMG styling, a Diamond Grille, Intelligent Light System, 18” AMG Wheels and a lowered AMG engineered sports suspension.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake utilises the now famous four-cylinder AMG engine, producing a maximum output of 265kW and up to 450Nm of torque. The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine in combination with the performance oriented 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive system, leads to extremely dynamic performance: the CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake accelerates from 0 – 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds.

A host of exceptional features come standard on the CLA Shooting Brake including EASY-PACK (power) Tailgate, 18” Wheels, Garmin® MAP PILOT navigation, KEYLESS Start, THERMOTRONIC and a reversing camera. In addition, the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC Shooting Brake incorporates Heated Electric Leather Front Seats with memory function, AMG bodystyling, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, KEYLESS-GO and a panoramic glass sunroof.

The CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake also includes the AMG Driver’s Package, AMG Night Package, 19” AMG Wheels, AMG high-performance braking system, COMAND Navigation and a Harmon Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system as standard.

The CLA Shooting Brake will also arrive with exceptional safety features as standard including: 9 Airbags, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS with semi-autonomous braking, Blind Spot Assist, PRE-SAFE®, ATTENTION ASSIST and Active Bonnet. The CLA 45 AMG also includes DISTRONIC PLUS and Lane Keeping Assist as standard.
