For decades, the Mitsubishi Lancer has been one of Australia’s favourite small cars. The current series with its stylish design and sporty performance continues the tradition. A revised Lancer range has just arrived and combines five-star safety, comfort and performance with luxury touches.

MMAL’s CEO, Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, said the Lancer line-up offers attractive price points and improved customer value at every level; from the entry model ES through to the exciting high-performance Ralliart.

“The Lancer range offers a model to suit every lifestyle and budget giving customers an attractive and affordable vehicle with high quality safety and a long list of features that suit their needs,” Oshikiri said.

Versatile Range

There is a Lancer to suit every lifestyle, with three specification levels ES, LX and VRX available in both Sedan and Sportback body types and the high performance Ralliart available in Sedan.

Both the Sportback and Sedan offer four-door, five-seat functionality, with 60/40 split rear seats and ample cargo capacity.

The Lancer ES and LX variants are powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.0-litre MIVEC four-cylinder engine offering 110kW @ 6,000rpm and 197Nm of torque, coupled with either five-speed manual or a CVT with Sport Mode transmission.

The VRX receives the sporty 2.4-litre MIVEC engine, with the choice of five speed manual or a CVT with Sport Mode transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. With a power output rating of 125kW @ 6,000rpm with 226Nm of torque, the Sportback VRX is one of Australia’s most powerful non-turbo hatches.

Stepping up into the Lancer Ralliart you are propelled by an engine developed from the Evolution’s inter-cooled, turbo-charged 2.0-litre MIVEC engine which delivers exceptional performance. Coupled with Twin Clutch Sport Shift Transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters it delivers a whopping 177kW @ 6,000rpm and 343Nm of torque.

The Lancer range is available in a stylish colour palette which includes White, Black, Red, Titanium Cool Silver (except Ralliart), Warm Silver (except Ralliart) and now includes the return of the racy Lightning Blue.

Affordable Safety – five-star ANCAP across the range

The Lancer range comes highly equipped with a long list of advanced safety features as standard.

Housed in Mitsubishi’s innovative Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body, the super strength cabin offers outstanding protection in the event of an accident and has been awarded an ANCAP five-star safety rating.

Coupled with a raft of electronic safety features including Active Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Distribution and Mitsubishi’s Brake Assist technology. Fitted with three-point seatbelts with reminders, pretentioners and force limiters on the front, child restraint anchorage points and two ISOFIX child seat anchor points in the rear.

The Lancer range comes with the latest Mitsubishi’s LINK audio systems, offering hands-free Bluetooth connectivity with voice activation and streaming audio, all with steering wheel audio and phone controls for easier operation and optimum sound.
