Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) is looking forward to the return of a popular variant of the Triton range, the Club Cab. The Triton Club Cab is at the forefront of a range of updates to the vehicle as part of the Model Year 2011 MN Triton line-up.

The Triton Club Cab is based on the 2011 Model Year four-wheel drive GLX 2.5-litre high powered diesel engine Single Cab range with the following additional interior features; bucket seats, flip up rear occasional use seats, lever type park brake, and floor console with lid and cup holder.

President and CEO of MMAL, Masahiko Takahashi said he is pleased to welcome back the Triton Club Cab to the Triton model line up.

“Triton is one of the mainstays of the Mitsubishi range and has always proved popular as a practical and rugged work vehicle that can take all the hard knocks thrown at it,” Takahashi said. “At the same time, Triton’s recognised four-wheel drive capabilities and car-like comfort have seen it used for recreational activities as well”.

“The result is that this car is in great demand – which is why we have decided to bring the Triton Club Cab back into the Triton model range”.

The Mitsubishi Triton Club Cab is available in five-speed manual with easy select 4WD mode and heavy duty suspension as standard. The 2.5-litre four cylinder, DOHC, 16 valve powerplant generates 131 kW of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm – and delivers combined fuel economy figures of 8.1 litres per 100 km.

The Triton Club Cab is fitted with Mitsubishi’s industry leading safety features including Driver and passenger SRS airbags, driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners and ABS with EBD, with Active Stability Control available as an optional extra.

The Club Cab will be available in two variants Pick-Up and Cab Chassis, and both offer optional Active Stability and Traction Control and Diff Lock.

Load carrying and towing are critical factors when choosing a work-and-play utility and Mitsubishi has ensured the Club Cab will answer the requirements of the busy worker. The long-bed tray offers a total tray length of 1,805 mm, and a total tray height of 460 mm, perfect for sliding larger objects smoothly onto the utility bed. The maximum towing capacity of the Triton Club Cab is 2,700 kg and its maximum pay load is 1,057 kg for the Pick-Up and 1,192 kg for the Cab Chassis.

The Mitsubishi Triton Club Cab comes with a comprehensive five year/130,000 whole vehicle warranty, backed-up by a 10 year/160,000 km powertrain warranty and a five year/unlimited km roadside assistance package. The Triton Club Cab is on sale now from $38,990* at over 200 Mitsubishi dealerships around Australia.
