The new Morgan Aero SuperSports, revealed at the Villa d’Este Concours in Italy in April has made a flying start in Australia, with two orders already received for delivery in 2010.

The base price of the car in standard trim can now be confirmed at $375,000*, making it the most expensive Morgan model ever offered to discerning Australian car enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, production slots for the current “Series 4” Morgan Aero 8 are now in short supply, with only 15 production slots remaining, before production ceases in December 2009, to free capacity for the new Aero SuperSports.

Priced from $255,000*, the Morgan Aero 8 offers rather good value in its final iteration.

The new Morgan Aero SuperSports is also achieving success in International FIA GT3 racing in Europe, having won both races in the first round of the series held at Silverstone.

It is comforting to know that in its Centenary Year, the Morgan Motor Company is running at full capacity, whereas ironically some of the biggest automotive companies have gone bankrupt.

HFS Morgan, founder of the Morgan Motor Company in 1909, was wise to implement his philosophy of not building a car without an order from the very start. This philosophy has stood the Company in good stead ever since!

Who would have guessed then, or even 50-years ago, that Morgan would now be the oldest and largest British owned car company! Long may it continue.

With grandson Charles Morgan now at the helm and with more new products emerging at a quicker pace than ever before, the dedicated small workforce at the Malvern Kink factory in rural Worcestershire have a lot of which to be proud.

The Morgan Centenary festivities reach their peak at a major event to be held at Cheltenham in Gloucestershire on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of August 2009.

Thousands of 'Morganeers' from all over the world are making the 'pilgrimage' to England, many taking their cars to be part of this very special event. Even cars especially shipped from Australia will be in attendance.
