Opel Australia today announced pricing and specification for the entire Opel launch line-up, offering German
engineering and design to Australians at an accessible price.
With engines ranging from 1.4 naturally – aspirated Corsa models, to the all-turbo line-up of petrol and diesel Astra
and Insignia variants, Opel Australia offers a new alternative for many driver. Innovations abound, with AGR certified
seats, AFL+ advanced lighting system, FlexRide adaptive chassis control and many other optionally available technologies
across the range.
With 150 years of history behind them in Europe, Opel are ready to now carve out their own piece of history locally.
Opel vehicles will go on sale through the 17 dedicated Opel
dealerships across
Australia in September.
Opel Corsa
Available in both a 3-door and 5-door, the 1.4 Corsa offers driving fun and safety. The 3-door Colour Edition is the
most stylish member of the Corsa range, and allows customers to select their preferred colour from Flaming Yellow, Magma
Red, Casablanca White and Carbon Flash Black to wed with glossy black roof and mirror caps. Also available is the option
of sport suspension and 17-inch gloss black alloys.
Offering 5 star EuroNCAP safety, a maximum of 1,100 litres of load capacity on 5-door model, the option of AFL forward
lighting system, and sporty steering and handling, the Opel Corsa fits into the light car class.
Opel Astra
Available in Hatch and Sports Tourer body-styles, the Astra is back, and better than ever. Former versions of the
Astra, in several generations, have been sold in Australia with the Holden badge as an brand identifier. Its silhouette
and details give the car a fresh, sporty appearance, and a steeply-raked windshield and falling rear roofline, adding
visual attraction to the traditional hatchback and wagon formats.
Three turbo-charged engines are on offer across the Astra range. The entry point to the Astra range, the Astra 5-door
Hatch offered in manual and automatic transmission in both a 1.4 T petrol engine, plus 2.0T Diesel.
Generously appointed, the Astra Select 5- door Hatch similarly offers manual and automatic transmissions across both a
1.6 T petrol engine, plus 2.0T Diesel.
Topping the Astra range is the Astra Sports 5-Door Hatch, available in 1.6T manual and automatic.
Innovations such as FlexRide adaptive chassis control to select the preferred driver mode, AGR accredited seats and
AFL+ Advanced Forward Lighting are available, meaning customers can access sophisticated technologies more often matched
to the premium segment, but at an accessible price point.
The clever combination of McPherson strut forward chassis with Watts’ link rear axle means dynamic and agile
cornering, whilst never compromising on driving comfort.
With standard inclusions such as USB/iPod® connectivity with voice control, 16-inch (entry Astra) 17-inch (Select
Models) and 18-inch alloys (on Sports models), electric power steering and cruise control, to name only a few of the
many, the Opel Astra has never before offered such a sleek and agile package, offering so much value.
Opel Astra GTC
Offering stunning design with dramatic proportions and exquisite surfacing, but still perfect for everyday use and
packed with innovative technologies, the Astra GTC is apealling.
Engine variants on offer include 1.4T manual and automatic, plus manual 1.6T, the GTC dishes up a premium front axle
lay-out with HiPerStrut – High Performance Strut – that ideally combines with the clever Watt’s link rear axle to provide
unmatched stability and the sharpest driving precision. Such sophisticated front axle architecture is usually only found
in high-performance vehicles, but thanks to the GTC, is now available more broadly.
Opel’s intelligent, fully-adaptive FlexRide chassis control system, optionally available on the Astra GTC Sport,
enhances driving stability with better cornering behaviour and steering response, by automatically adapting to road
conditions, cornering speed, vehicle movements and individual driving style. In addition, FlexRide offers three different
settings, enabling a change to the car’s character on demand by the push of a button: drivers can choose between the
balanced Standard mode, the comfort-oriented Tour mode or the more dynamic Sport mode.
Add to this technologies such as Start/Stop, Adaptive Forward Lighting system, six-speed transmissions, premium
infotainment systems and standard features such as LED ambient lighting in roof and centre consoles and doors, power
mirrors, illuminated sunshades and air-conditioning (dual-zone climate control and front heat seating standard on the
Astra GTC Sport) and it’s easy to see why the Astra GTC stands apart from the crowd as an attainable sporty car.

With generous standard specification on both the standard and Select models, the standard Insignia comes equipped with
