17th January, 2006

Celebrating its success as the best selling Compact Sports Utility Vehicle in 2005, Subaru has launched a special edition Forester X Luxury.

Packed with extra features, it includes a sunroof, rear tinted windows and leather trim.

Available in white, regal blue and silver, the All-Wheel Drive Forester X Luxury also has a rear spoiler and is priced from $33,990 recommended retail price for the manual.

With extra equipment valued at an estimated RRP of $5,750, there is an opportunity to save $3,750.

Just 1,000 Forester X Luxury models will be available during January and February.

Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia, said: “Forester distinguished itself in 2005 as the best-selling Compact Sports Utility Vehicle."

“We want to celebrate that milestone with a special edition that underlines Forester’s huge popularity among such a broad audience across Australia, from young families to retirees and empty nesters."

“Forester has proven credentials as a great urban and bush crossover. There aren’t many vehicles that match it for compact size, All-Wheel Drive ability, five-star safety and solid engineering and that’s reflected in its superb sales success.”

Subaru sold 12,320 Foresters in 2005 – an all-time record for the model in Australia.
