Toyota RAV4 Altitude released

Toyota has released a special edition RAV4.

The Toyota RAV4 'Altitude' is based on the 2WD and AWD RAV4 four-cylinder CV models, with a list of nine added features. It is offered in 2WD with manual or automatic transmission, or as an AWD automatic.

Only 1,500 of this special edition RAV4 will be built in Japan between July and September.

Features beyond the standard CV model grade include five 17-inch alloy wheels (in lieu of steel wheels), front fog lamps and silver roof rails.

In addition, the new special edition has rear, rear-quarter and rear-door privacy glass, silver front bumper appliqué and an 'Altitude' exterior badge.

Five exterior colour choices are offered: pearlescent White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Pearl, Graphite, Ebony and Wildfire (metallic/pearl paint available as an additional cost option).

Inside, RAV4 Altitude has a six-CD audio unit with LCD display, USB connectivity and Bluetooth™ telephone^ and audio-streaming functionality#.

It also has a premium steering wheel and premium gear-shift knob.

All RAV4 models have electric power-assisted steering, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-skid Brakes and Hill-start Assist Control as standard equipment.

Automatic transmission models have the additional feature of Downhill Assist Control.
