London's Met Police Toy With Rapid Response Concept

6th November, 2007

Caparo T1 rapid response concept car

Getaway drivers and outside lane lovers beware!

London's Metropolitan Police teamed-up with British super car manufacturer, Caparo, to display a brand new Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) at a car show in London (UK) last weekend.

The concept car is capable of accelerating from standstill to 100 mph (approximately 160 km/h) in a mere 5 seconds and onto a top speed of 200 mph (approximately 320 km/h). The Caparo T1 RRV would be deployed to hunt down car criminals within London's famous M25 ring road.

The concept doesn't have the green light to join the Police fleet, but check your mirrors next time you fancy breaking the speed limit in London ... just in case!
