10th April, 2006 Land Rover's Discovery 3 is now the world's most awarded 4WD with over 70 global accolades to date, including Australia's 2006 'Best Cars' award, and magazines Overlander, 4WD Monthly and 4x4 Australia '4WD Car of the Year' awards for 2005. A truly premium and prestige vehicle, Discovery 3 has class leading outstanding breadth of capability with on and off road driving performance that has seen its sales double so far in 2006. Now Land Rover Australia is rationalising the Discovery 3 line-up from seven (7) variants to five (5), adding as standard luxury leather interiors and automatic climate control on all models in the new range. |

Prices for the petrol engined models have also been reduced and the V6 SE is now the entry model at $63,990 (down from $66,950) with a great specification that includes seven leather seats, Land Rover's unique Terrain Response off road system with electronic air suspension, plus eight (8) airbags, 18" wheels and Bi-xenon headlamps, it boasts a package that cannot be beaten at the price. Petrol V6 S and V8 SE have been removed from the range, leaving the V6 SE and the top of the range V8 HSE at $89,990 (down from $91,650). |

Turbodiesel V6 models are now available from $66,250 (up from $64,650) with the TdV6 S model now featuring an all leather interior as standard together with automatic climate control - a package worth $4,100. All diesel and petrol models also feature the advanced six-speed ZF automatic gearbox as standard.
