Mazda Australia has maintained its exceptional sales performance for another month achieving a record October result of 6,001 retail sales, an increase of 46 per cent from this time last year.

Strong results were recorded across the class-leading lineup with stand-out performances by Mazda 3, Mazda 2, Mazda 6 and the all new MX-5.

Mazda 3’s popularity has not slowed since its introduction in January 2004 and in October it had its best month ever with 3,142 retails sales.

Mazda 2 and Mazda 6 both had their best October on record retailing 571 and 1,231 respectively. MX-5 had its best month since November 2000 with 156 retail sales recorded.

October’s exceptional sales result was helped by a strong retail sales campaign, one-day only sale and a national roadshow.

“Mazda Will Do It For You” began in October and also included the once a year sale M-Day. Great deals are being offered across the range, excluding the all new MX-5 and Mazda 6 MPS.

The Mazda Roadshow also kicked off in October taking the stellar range to regional cities around the country. This provides a great opportunity for regional customers to test-drive a number of cars at their local dealer all on one day.

“A strong national sales campaign, coupled with good supply of the Mazda 3 sedan and hatch and the newly updated Mazda 2 and Mazda 6 models has ensured that we continue to perform strongly this year,” said Mazda Australia managing director, Doug Dickson.

“We are still on track to achieve our revised sales target of 67,000 which is 7,000 more than we predicted at the start of the year.”
