Mitsubishi is introducing a Limited Edition Pajero VR-X later this month.

Based on the GLX, and available with both the 3.8 litre V6 petrol, or 3.2 litre Direct Injection intercooled turbocharged diesel engine, and a choice of 5-speed all-synchromesh manual or 5-speed automatic transmission with 'Sports Mode' sequential shifting, the VR-X gets the following additional styling and specification items:

• 17" alloy wheel and tyre package,
• Chrome exterior door mirrors,
• Sports grille,
• Sports headlamps and bezels,
• Front fog lamps,
• Front skid plate,
• Colour keyed bumpers and garnish,
• Rear dust deflector,
• Privacy glass,
• Roof rails,
• Hard spare tyre cover
• Wheel cut moulding,
• Leather-bound steering wheel,
• Titanium-look instrument panel,
• Carbon fibre a/t shift lever,
• Carbon fibre transfer shift lever,
• Carbon fibre park brake lever,
• Scuff plates.

Pajero VR-X will be available in four colours - White Pearl, Cool Silver, Gunmetal and Black Mica - and will have MATT(TM) (Mitsubishi All Terrain Technology) as standard as well as a long list of normal Pajero features.

MATT(TM) incorporates Mitsubishi's acclaimed 'Super Select' 4WD system with 2H, 4H, 4L and 4LLc, Active Stability Control (with Active Traction Control) and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
