Subaru achieved record July sales of 2,763 vehicles, according to official VFACTS figures.

The figure is 1.9 per cent ahead of the previous July and gives Subaru a 3.9 per cent market share year-to-date.

Standout performer for Subaru was Forester with 973 sales, 19.8 per cent up on the previous July.

Sales of 452 Outbacks combined with Forester to again underline Subaru’s dominance of the SUV Compact segment.

Sales of 758 Imprezas and 580 Libertys rounded out the Subaru total.
