7th March, 2006

Subaru has added a special edition duotone Outback to its range, with 750 available from early March.

Comprising both four and six-cylinder horizontally opposed engines, all Outbacks offer Subaru’s trademark All-Wheel Drive and five-star ANCAP crashworthiness rating for occupant safety.

Available in three colour combinations – arctic white over grey, regal blue over grey and obsidian black over grey – the Outback special edition revisits the popular duotone colour palate for a limited time.

Some 350 automatic 3.0 litre and 400 2.5 litre manual and automatic variants will be available.

Four-cylinder models will also feature contemporary six-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels (4).

The Outback duotone is priced from $37,990 retail recommended price for the 2.5 litre manual and $46,490 for the 3.0 litre automatic.

Standard features include

  • ABS Brakes with EBD
  • All-Wheel Drive full time
  • Airbags - dual front side
  • Air-conditioning - climate control
  • AM/FM radio/CD player
  • Sportshift on automatic
  • Headlights auto off
  • Electronic throttle control system
  • DataDots security system
  • 3 Year/unlimited km warranty

Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia said: “The Outback has long been a favourite for customers looking for both safety and versatility in a vehicle."

“Duotone Outbacks have been very well received on previous models so we have introduced this special edition in response to customer feedback.”
