Hot on the heals of the arrival of the seven-seat Commander, joining the Wrangler, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee in the range - all new Jeep vehicles sold during the 65 day sale will receive a free navigation system.

"Since they were first mass produced in 1941, Jeep vehicles have gone on to become known for authentic off-road capability, freedom and adventure," said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Group Australia.

“The 65 day sale pays homage to Jeep’s rich heritage, giving customers the opportunity to join in the celebrations with free navigation across the range and some outstanding drive away specials on new select Wrangler, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee models," said Jenkins.

The navigation unit differs for each model however boast easy to use functions and voice instructions. In addition to car based usage the navigation system on the Wrangler is waterproof and powered by a lithium-ion battery for on-foot adventures.

Customers can save thousands of dollars with the Jeep 65 day sale drive away pricing celebration. The Jeep Wrangler Sport manual soft-top is priced at $29,990* drive-away, Jeep Cherokee Sport 3.7L at $38,990* drive-away and Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L at $53,990* drive-away.

GPS navigation system details

Grand Cherokee and Commander receive the Garmin-built Mopar Navus navigation unit. Features include a full colour touch screen with separate buttons for major functions, large icons and shallow menu structure, automatic route re-calculation, full screen map, combination map/turn-by turn and/or voice guidance.

Jeep Wrangler receives the Mopar Jeep Trail Guide, a highly versatile Garmin-built GPS navigation system that is mounted on the Wrangler’s dashboard in a sleek custom cradle that provides power and audible voice prompts through powerful dedicated speakers. For on-foot adventures, simply snap the unit out of the cradle for handheld GPS navigation.

Jeep Cherokee receives the Garmin StreetPilot C320 unit, which features a simple touch screen interface, with automatic route calculation and turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions along the way. It allows you to choose between a three-dimensional navigation view or the more traditional “bird’s eye” overhead view. The StreetPilot features dual integrated speakers for high-quality voice prompts, and an internal lithium-ion battery for out-of-car route planning. The device is secured by a suction-mount cradle that fastens to the windshield.
